Introduction

My name is Michael Easter. I am a retired Special Agent for the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). I joined the FBI in 2004 after having served as Officer in the United States Marine Corps and as a Ventura County Deputy Sheriff.

My career as an FBI Special Agent has equipped me with exceptional problem-solving abilities, refined through managing complex cases and high-pressure situations. I've consistently delivered results in critical investigations, including homicides, robberies, abductions and other violent crimes, both domestically and internationally. This experience has cultivated my expertise in critical thinking, meticulous data analysis, and effective collaboration within the law enforcement community.

I pioneered the FBI's Critical Incident Response course, equipping investigators with essential skills in real-time crisis management and advanced investigative techniques. As an FBI instructor, I've honed my ability to deliver complex information effectively to diverse audiences, fostering strong rapport and trust even under pressure. I taught this course for approximately ten years to FBI Special Agents, and Local and State investigators throughout the United States.  This course significantly enhanced their operational capabilities in critical incident scenarios.

In my role as an FBI Cellular Analysis Survey Team National Assets, decision-making is a skill that has been consistently tested and honed through my deployment to numerous critical incidents both domestically and internationally.  I have worked thousands of cases involving the analysis of technical device  information to locate victims and subjects of kidnappings, homicides, robberies, other violent crimes, and national security matters. I have provided detailed briefings to the highest levels of Federal, State, and Local law enforcement to aid in their investigative decisions making process and critical incident management.

Finally, my expertise extends to legal matters and the ability to articulate complex investigative information throughout the entire legal process, from incident inception to trial. As an FBI expert witness, I've testified in over 200 criminal cases, specializing in device records, user content, and location data. This extensive experience led to my appointment as the FBI's expert witness training instructor.
